I found out that I have a Leaky Gut soon after having been diagnosed with DCIS (Stage 0 breast cancer). It’s not genetic as there was no family history. I was then told that it has something to do with the stress hormone, cortisol. Apparently I must have been under extreme stress. True, I was under extreme emotional stress before the diagnosis, but surely it cannot be just the cortisol?
