Do you have the Leaky Gut Syndrome?

Do you have leaky gut syndrome?

I found out that I have a Leaky Gut soon after having been diagnosed with DCIS (Stage 0 breast cancer) and had my left breast removed. The surgeon said I should not worry, as the chance of the cancer returning is 5%. But I did worry because nobody could tell me why I had the DCIS. It’s not genetic as there was no family history. I was then told that it has something to do with the stress hormone, cortisol. Apparently I must have been under extreme stress. True, I was under extreme emotional stress before the diagnosis, but surely it cannot be just the cortisol?

By chance, I stumbled into the answer. I have been suffering from Atopic Eczema for several years and my fingers have lost their prints, from the skin peeling and my nails were dark and distorted making me resort to using cotton gloves! Skin specialists can only give steroids and moisturizing creams. A month after my mastectomy I had a bad bout of itchiness on both hands, and went to the local GP to get some relief. He commented that I have fungal infection and gave the usual potassium permanganate crystals to wash with. When asked where the infection could have come from he replied, “from inside you!” I decided to do my own research and came across Dr. Josh Axe’s website on the Leaky Gut Syndrome.

Taking his initial advice and tips I went on a no sugar, no carbs diet for a week taking leafy vegetables especially kale. Miraculously the skin of my hands and fingers recovered to normal and the nails grew normally in the right pink colour! I clipped off the distorted part.

A patch of skin rash
A patch of rash appeared on the skin. The toxins are still going through parts of my body.

I had subscribed to Dr. Axe’s program to Heal the Leaky Gut Syndrome but did not go through it all, just happy that my eczema has been resolved! But then a patch of rash appeared on the skin near where my lymph nodes were cut off during the mastectomy. I then realized that I have not healed my leaky gut and the toxins are still going through parts of my body, and one of the routes is through the lymph nodes leading to my left breast. I now understand the role of the cortisol, which is a trigger for the cancer. If not for the cortisol, I may just have the leaky gut giving a host of other conditions such as the eczema.

I now follow Dr. Axe’s program to control and heal the leaky gut, but any deviation from my diet seem to bring back some symptoms.

I empathize with this person who wrote to another alternative practitioner, Dr. Rothfeld:

Powerful supplement STOPS yeast overgrowth

Q: I can control my yeast overgrowth, but if I stray from my restrictive diet at all, it all comes back. How do I KILL the infection for good?

The answer he got from the doctor – take virgin coconut oil! Read Dr.Rothfeld’s explanation below:

Glenn S. Rothfeld: Candida albicans is one of the most common fungal issues — and one of the hardest to get rid of.

Because while a variety of factors may feed the yeast in the body and cause it to grow and multiply like gangbusters, there’s not a lot that can be done to STOP it once it STARTS.

Most docs will prescribe a change in diet, and they’re right to some degree. Yeast just LOVES to feast on sugar — including the natural fructose found in fruit.

And remember that our bodies convert carbs into sugar, which just feeds the yeast even more.

So, you can try to STARVE the yeast, but you may end up starving yourself in the process.

And that’s not really a permanent solution.

Fortunately, there’s something that can INHIBIT the growth of these fungi… and PENETRATE the biofilms that they form to protect themselves from standard antifungal drugs.

It’s an amazing antimicrobial known as monolaurin, and it’s a “secret weapon” against an overgrowth of yeast.

In my clinic, we use it either in its capsule form or as the pure, original pellet form (a.k.a. Lauricidin).

We find that a loading dose and then divided daily doses works best.

The pure pellet form isn’t available over the counter, so you’ve got to get it dispensed through offices like ours.

But you can reap its benefits without a doc… and all you’ve got to do is hit the health food store.

Approximately half of the oily white part of a coconut is made up of lauric acid — a single fat that, as the name suggests, is a major component of monolaurin.

And the best way to get it is coconut oil. (Look for an organic and “virgin” variety.)

Now, I know you’ve been hearing that coconut oil is “pure poison.” But that’s just not true.

Unless, of course, you’re yeast.

For humans, coconut oil has an endless amount of healing properties and health benefits

It aids in digestion and strengthens your immune system, for starters — and both of those benefits are critical to overcoming Candida FOR GOOD.

And it promotes heart and brain health to boot.

Use it for cooking and baking, as it has a long shelf life and can withstand higher cooking temperatures without being destroyed.

Or just go ahead and enjoy this tropical oil raw.
